restaked Proof-of-Stake (rPOS)

The Exocore network operates as a blockchain managed by a decentralized set of validators. The initialization and bootstrapping of the Exocore network are realized by the system’s own restaking functionality, via a novel recursive bootstrapping technique that Exocore introduces called restaked Proof-of-Stake (rPOS). With rPOS, instead of relying on a native protocol token for initial network bootstrapping, the Exocore network can use external restaked tokens to support the crypto-economic security of the system from inception. In this manner, the Exocore network serves as the genesis AVS of the restaking platform, meaning that Exocore is dogfooding its own design using rPOS.
