Babylon

Babylon [16] is a staking protocol for Bitcoin. It allows Bitcoin holders to trustlessly stake their tokens without bridging them to a PoS blockchain, while providing fully slashable security guarantees. The protocol supports rapid stake unbonding to maximize liquidity for PoS blockchain stakers. Designed as a modular plug-in, Babylon can be layered atop various PoS consensus algorithms and provides a primitive upon which restaking protocols can be built. Exocore shares a similar modular design that allows easy integration with AVSs. Moreover, Exocore can integrate with various blockchains and extend their crypto-economic security to both PoS blockchains and AVSs.
